§ 1-2-128. Enforcement and penalties.

  • Violations of this article may be enforced by any one (1) or more of the remedies authorized by G.S. § 153A-123, including, but not limited to, the following:

    (1)

    The county sheriffs department and/or the county health department may issue a citation which subjects the offender to a civil penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00) to be recovered by the county in a civil action in the nature of debt if the offender does not pay the penalty within twenty (20) days after being cited for a violation.

    (2)

    A civil action seeking equitable and injunctive relief to restrain or prohibit the violation of this article.

    (3)

    A misdemeanor warrant may be issued that may subject the violator to a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) or imprisonment not to exceed thirty (30) days.
