§ 2-1-23. Residence; vacancies.
One (1) member of the board of commissioners shall be elected from each of the six (6) townships of the county, and candidates shall be residents of the township for which they seek election. In the case of a vacancy, the person appointed to fill the vacancy shall be a resident of the same township as the member whose position becomes vacant.
