§ 2-1-35. Acceptance of real or personal property.

Pursuant to GS 153A-157, prior to the acceptance and acquisition of any real or personal property or in kind services, by gift, grant, devise, bequest, or donation, the board of commissioners must accept said acquisition by resolution or otherwise upon motion and affirmative vote at any regular meeting or special meeting called for that purpose.

This ordinance shall not apply to gifts, devises, bequests, or donations of personal property or in kind services where it is readily apparent to the county department or agency accepting said donation that there will be no continuing costs associated therewith (i.e. costs of operation, maintenance, etc.).
