§ 2-1-48. Compensation of coroner.

The County Coroner of Brunswick County shall receive as compensation for his services the sum of twenty dollars ($20.00) per day for each day he is engaged in the performance of his duties as coroner. In addition thereto, the coroner shall receive seven cents ($0.07) per mile for travel expense necessarily incurred in the performance of his official duties. In addition to any other compensation provided for by law, if the Coroner of Brunswick County shall be investigating two (2) deaths at the same time, he shall be entitled to compensation at the rate of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day in each case.
