The Sheriff of Brunswick County shall receive an annual salary of fifty-eight hundred
dollars ($5,800.00), payable in twelve (12) equal monthly installments. In addition
to the salary fixed herein for the sheriff, he shall be paid the sum of twelve hundred
dollars ($1,200.00) per annum as travel expense incurred in the performance of his
official duties in the County of Brunswick, and in addition thereto shall receive
the sum of seven cents ($0.07) per mile for travel expense incurred for travel outside
of the county while in the performance of his official duties.
